AmScope’s new EduPro line includes a cohesive assortment of microscopes intended for educational institutions ranging from middle school to college. EduPro microscopes are meticulously designed and manufactured to achieve enduring quality with a modern, elegant aesthetic.
From beginning to advanced biology, the compound microscope has long been a standard tool in classrooms for studying cell structures and functions, observing microorganisms, and much more.
The dual-illumination model offers the flexibility to view a wider range of specimens using traditional specimen slides, culturing dishes, and unmounted objects. Rather than using a typical rectangular stage with a caliper, this model uses a round stage with positioning clips to allow for more diversity.
The included stage has a fixed Abbe condenser which provides the same functionality as the standard biological model for viewing cells, microorganisms, and other microscopic structures. The stage can accommodate standard slides, depression slides, and dishes for viewing anything from onion cells to live protozoa.
What makes this model even more unique is the addition of a gooseneck light which can be positioned behind, above, or to the side of the specimen being observed. This type of reflected lighting is commonly used for viewing opaque objects such as textiles, plastics, circuit boards, and dry soil. Certain subjects including microorganisms in water can benefit from side-lighting which creates a shadow effect.
