IQCrew Science Discovery Series is purpose-built to spark curiosity and confidence in young scientists. Because microscopes open a window into the unseen, they’re a core element of modern STEM education—helping students connect concepts from biology, chemistry, geology, and beyond to real-world observation.
This hands-on starter lab pairs an inverted compound microscope with a USB digital inspection scope for two complementary ways to explore. The IN50C includes two eyepieces and delivers five true optical magnifications from 40X to 500X, using quality glass optics for crisp, detailed views. The digital microscope puts macro-to-micro imaging in the palm of your hand and streams live to a computer for easy viewing. Included software lets students capture photos, record video, and enhance images with intuitive editing tools.
The inverted design moves the objective lenses below the stage, creating ample space for slides and containers like Petri dishes. That means learners can examine living samples—pond water, brine shrimp cultures, crystal growth—without disturbing them. Coarse focus adjusts the optics while the stage stays put, keeping delicate specimens stable and in view.
To support guided discovery, the kit also provides a richly illustrated booklet covering microscope history, setup, and beginner-friendly experiments. Students can prepare their own samples with the included Petri dish, blank slides, and tools: a graduated cylinder and pipette for liquids, plus forceps, a probe, and a stirring rod for positioning and prep.
