This microscope package comes with a compound microscope, a USB digital camera (imager) and the microscope book, Book of The Microscope. It is designed for students to learn science. The microscope offers five magnification settings, 40X, 100X, 250X, 400X and 1000X. It has full optical glass elements, metal framework, 360 degree rotatable monocular head, a 640x480 pixel detachable digital imager and the LED illumination system that uses either an outlet (adapter included) or three AA batteries.

The digital camera captures still images and video, and allows you to view a live stream on your PC. The downloadable software for Windows offers image-development and measurement tools, as well as advanced compositing features such as image-stitching and extended-depth-of-focus. Independent preview and capture resolutions allow you to view high-speed video while capturing high-definition images. On Mac computers, a lite version of the software offers a more limited selection of measurement tools.

The book investigates the enormous variety of objects too small for the eye to see. Step-by-step diagrams show how to get the best from a microscope and how to make and keep slides. It covers different types of microscopes and there are plenty of exciting suggestions for projects which reveal the incredible detail of everyday objects.
