This is a 100X objective lens with a variable-NA iris for applications such as dark-field microscopy. Standard bright-field objective lenses present low contrast due to their high numerical apertures. This lens' built-in iris provides control over the aperture, varying between 0.36 and 1.25. This allows for the intensity of the dark-field contrast to be easily adjusted.
Designed for infinity-corrected microscopes with RMS thread, this lens features both chromatic and spherical corrections, providing sharp, focused images. It is designed to be used with immersion oil, and has a spring nosecone to prevent damage to the lens or specimen.
