The SM-2T is our best-selling dual-light stereo microscope, due in large part to its simplicity and durability. The time-tested design provides versatility in application, with transmitted and reflected light-sources. The 0.7-4.5X continuous-zoom objective lenses provide an ample magnification range with smooth adjustments for real, hands-on work. The included 10X wide-field eyepieces provide pristine clarity with a large working-area.
Originally designed for dissection, the practical uses have broadened greatly to include such things as gemology, PCB-inspection, and electronics-repair. The reflected lighting allows for inspection of opaque objects, including circuit-boards, coins and stamps, minerals, and agricultural materials. The transmitted light provides the pass-through light necessary for translucent objects, such as fluids, tissues, and gems.
